Film Scene Description Specialist (AI Training)
What if your love of film and your eye for visual storytelling could directly influence how AI understands the language of cinema? We're looking for Film Scene Description Specialists to watch short video clips and translate what they see into rich, structured descriptions — helping cutting‑edge AI models learn how scenes are composed, paced, and emotionally charged.
About the RoleThis is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with a genuine interest in film or visual media and the ability to describe what they see with clarity and precision. No professional filmmaking experience required.

- Watch short film and video clips and break them down into structured, beat‑by‑beat visual descriptions
- Describe camera movement, framing, blocking, pacing, and mood in precise, consistent language
- Convey tone and emotional subtext using purely visual indicators — no reliance on dialogue
- Follow standardized formatting guidelines to produce scene summaries and beat breakdowns
- Maintain quality and consistency across a high volume of scene descriptions
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
- Passionate about film, television, or visual storytelling in any form
- Able to describe what you see clearly and systematically — without referencing what characters say
- Strong structured writing skills with an eye for detail and consistency
- Comfortable re‑watching clips to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Self‑motivated and reliable when working independently
- No professional film or media experience required
- Background in film studies, screenwriting, photography, or visual arts
- Experience writing shot lists, scene breakdowns, or production notes
- Familiarity with cinematography terminology such as framing, depth of field, or mise‑en‑scène
- Work on cutting‑edge AI projects alongside leading research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task‑based work
- Put your passion for visual storytelling to use in a way that directly shapes how AI perceives the world
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
