We are a Credit Union on the East side of Austin seeking an experienced Member Service Representative (MSR) to join our family!
We are looking for a seasoned MSR with an open personality who loves helping people! Someone warm and welcoming and ready to give the boutique banking experience to which our members are accustomed! Cash handling skills, prior banking experience, and attention to detail are a must. Responsibilities:
- Handle member transactions, inquiries, and complaints
- Personal & Business Account Opening
- Provide information about the products and services
- Cross-sell/suggest products and services on an as-needed basis
- Troubleshoot and resolve product issues and concerns
- Document and update member records based on interactions
- Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving products and services
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
- Previous experience working in a bank or credit union
- Ability to build rapport with both new and long-time members and existing staff
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and multitasking skills
- Patient, positive, and professional demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with a fun, casual, and friendly work culture
- Technologically savvy
- Must be fun and love to have fun!
Requirements of Position: Physical, mental, and location requirements include:
- Must be able to sit or stand at the teller counter for up to six (6) hours at a time.
- Must be able to squat, lift, and carry up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Must be able to work with a computer, computer keyboard, and computer monitor as provided by the credit union.
- Must be proficient in 10-Key.
- Must be proficient with computers, standard office equipment, and Microsoft Office applications
- Must be able to type using a standard US keyboard.
- Comfortable learning and utilizing technology and banking systems
- Must be able to complete math problems in your head.
- Must be able to complete complex mental challenges as presented by members.
- Must be able to memorize faces, names, combinations, transaction codes, computer keystrokes, phone numbers, and the like.
- Must be able to report to the office assigned by management for your scheduled shift; remote locations or working from home is not allowed or permitted.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
