Parking Services Representative
Department: Parking and Transportation Services
Location: Austin, TX
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm (40 hrs/week)
Responsibilities- Receive and process cash, checks, and credit card payments at cashier windows, prepay gates, or lot entrances, maintain the cash drawer, balance daily, and prepare cash‑out reports.
- Complete departmental and university forms and reports, sell permits and parking‑related items, post payments, check permits for authorization, and assist with stolen or altered permits.
- Communicate with campus departments via radio or phone for auto assistance, boot verification, and security purposes.
- Driver responsibilities: operate UT vehicles, perform garage, event, and surface operations, conduct audits of permits and access cards, compile reports, and supervise students and entry‑level cashiers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school graduation or GED.
- Experience with large‑scale receipt, disbursement, and recording of cash payments.
- Experience with a personal computer and clerical functions.
- Experience providing excellent customer service and completing reports.
- Professional demeanor, attention to detail, reliable transportation, and punctual, dependable attendance.
- Experience in a university department or large‑scale parking environment.
A valid class “C” driver’s license and a current three‑year driving record. Obtaining a Texas driver’s license within 30 days if not a Texas resident.
Salary$41,600 plus qualifications‑based adjustments, eligible for overtime compensation.
