North Austin, TX | Full-Time | Private Dental Practice

$48–$55/hour, depending on experience | PTO + Bonuses + 401(k) + Employee Discount | 60-Minute Recall Appointments | 90-Minute New-Patient Appointments

Our growing dental practice in North Austin is looking for an experienced Dental Hygienist to join our team. Led by Dr. Miller, our goal is simple:

Why Our Hygienists Like Working Here

We don't believe dental hygienists should have to rush from patient to patient all day.

Our appointment structure gives you the time to provide thorough, personalized care and actually connect with the people you're treating. You'll generally see one patient at a time
, with approximately 60 minutes for recall appointments and 90 minutes for new patients.

We want our team to have the time and resources to do their jobs well while maintaining a healthy, positive workplace.

What You'll Do

As a Dental Hygienist, you'll provide preventive and periodontal care while educating patients and helping them maintain excellent oral health.

  • Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and polishing
  • Complete comprehensive patient assessments
  • Review medical and dental histories
  • Take and record vital signs when appropriate
  • Perform oral examinations and periodontal assessments
  • Take dental X-rays according to established protocols
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
  • Provide post-treatment instructions and personalized recommendations
  • Document treatments, findings, and patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record
  • Use dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
  • Follow infection prevention, sterilization, and safety procedures
  • Work closely with the dentist and dental team to provide coordinated patient care
  • Create a comfortable and positive experience for every patient
What We're Looking For

We're looking for a compassionate, dependable Dental Hygienist who takes pride in their clinical skills and enjoys connecting with patients.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of professional dental hygiene experience preferred
  • Current dental hygiene license required
  • College degree in dental hygiene or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and general dentistry
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Experience with preventive and periodontal care
  • Ability to safely and accurately perform dental X-rays
  • Experience with electronic dental records
  • Strong patient education and communication skills
  • Dependable and professional
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Commitment to excellent patient care

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix
  • Pediatric dentistry experience
  • Experience with periodontal therapy
  • Familiarity with dental documentation and coding
  • Strong understanding of infection prevention and control
