Position: Print Production Specialist I, Product Commercialization

Description

In accordance with Worldwide Grocery Private Brand's product brand guidelines, the Print Production Specialist is responsible for working with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate creation, conduct reviews, and ensure high-quality production of graphic files on printed packaging substrates.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Review all printer specifications and dieline files to ensure accuracy and utility, obtaining clarification on any details regarding dieline files and printer specifications.
  • Experienced with a variety of packaging substrates and printing processes to ensure successful printed production of private branded packaging.
  • Communicate with printers, vendors, and internal teams regarding print capability-related questions or concerns. Schedule calls/meetings, as needed, to discuss questions regarding file‑set up that balances successful print production with cost considerations.
  • Receive and review pre‑press/contract printer proofs for accuracy, consistency and brand alignment against the original mechanical.
  • Compile, organize, and communicate all issues, revisions, questions, or cautions pertaining to the printer proofs and return to designated printer as needed.
  • Execute limited mechanical revisions to graphic files for product packaging.
  • Attend periodic press checks to ensure print quality of packaging.
  • Ensure working design and support art files are current and properly archived upon project completion, including archiving of PDF proofs with electronic files (where applicable).
  • Review first production of all product packaging for print quality expectations and follow up with all printers as necessary to correct/improve print quality for subsequent press runs.

Through the integration of Whole Foods Market (WFM) and Amazon-branded products, Private Brands enables WWGS to deliver high‑quality, innovative products and brands while maintaining operational excellence across diverse global markets.

This collaborative structure allows WWGS to rapidly scale its food portfolio while maintaining consistent quality standards and efficient processes throughout its worldwide operations. This team manages the Amazon Saver, Amazon Grocery, by Amazon, Aplenty, Amazon Kitchen, 365 by WFM (including our organic products), and Whole Foods Market brands.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in program or project management
  • Knowledge of project management tools
  • 3+ years of experience in printing, prepress or production art for offset and/or flexographic printing.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Pro.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience negotiating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in project or program management
  • Ability to self‑manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Excellent listening skills, with attention to detail and ability to interpret and incorporate detailed feedback on food packaging graphics.
  • Flexible - able to take direction well, then problem‑solve and adapt to timeline developments and reprioritize.
  • Knowledge / familiarity with food packaging a plus.
  • CPG experience preferred; supermarket experience is a plus.
