Commonwealth Design (formerly McCray & Co.) is an Austin-based interior design firm dedicated to crafting layered, narrative-driven environments for high-end residential and hospitality projects.

• Lead high‑end residential and hospitality projects from concept through final installation, owning design and execution.
• Develop layered, considered design concepts that can be clearly communicated and executed.
• Produce sketches, 3‑D models, renderings, client‑facing presentations, and detailed construction documents, managing each from draft to completion.
• Source materials, finishes, furnishings, and hardware, guiding selections from specification to successful installation.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and consultants, ensuring smooth project flow and clear, timely communication.
• Conduct site visits, handle day‑to‑day problem‑solving, and ensure every detail is well‑executed.

• 5+ years’ experience in interior design, focusing on high‑end residential and/or hospitality environments.
• Proven ability to own a project from start to finish.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit, Sketch Up, Enscape (or similar), InDesign, and Photoshop, with strong construction‑document skills.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, detailing, codes, and standards.
• Ability to manage 2–3 projects simultaneously.
• Top‑notch communication skills, a team‑oriented approach, and a proactive, high‑vibe mentality.
• Based in Austin or willing to relocate (relocation support available for the right candidate).
