Available at any location in the United States. Candidates may work remotely; hybrid schedule requires occasional visits to local Jacobs offices for team meetings.
Position OverviewSenior Project Architect – Diverse Portfolio Opportunity.
Key Responsibilities- Research, program, plan, design, and administer building projects for clients across multiple industries (data centers, commercial, advanced manufacturing, etc.).
- Apply expertise in architectural design, zoning, building codes, building systems & materials.
- Mentor less‑experienced Architects and Designers, collaborating closely with technical and engineering leads.
- Deliver excellence in all project phases—from planning through construction administration and close‑out—while maintaining firm‑wide quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates, to ensure design intent and goals are achieved.
- Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited program.
- 15+ years of professional experience.
- Professional architectural license(s) and ability to be licensed in multiple states.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Suite.
- Extensive experience with building codes and regulations.
- Understanding of scopes of work, budget development, and schedule review.
- Ability to lead small architectural teams and work across multiple disciplines.
- Willingness to travel to project sites in the United States.
- Master’s in Architecture.
- Experience designing advanced facilities such as data centers, life science, or industrial facilities with office environments.
- Participation in professional organizations.
- LEED AP credentials.
