Your Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and motivated Interior Designer to join our Austin, Texas office.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of project types including Civic, Commercial, and similar design-related projects. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and contribute to technically sophisticated, design-focused work. The Interior Designer will be involved in projects from early concept through construction and installation, supporting interior architecture, furnishings, art and accessory specification, as well as procurement packages.

Key Responsibilities

- Participate in interior design from project inception through construction and closeout

- Contribute to programming, space planning, and concept development in coordination with project architects and design leadership

- Translate design concepts into cohesive interior environments aligned with architectural intent and client goals

- Prepare interior design documentation including plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules

- Research, select, and specify materials, finishes, lighting, furnishings, art, and accessories

- Develop finish palettes, furniture packages, and presentation materials for client and internal review

- Support client presentations and incorporate feedback throughout the design process

- Assist with maintaining project schedules and interior design deliverables

Your Capabilities and Credentials

- Interior Design license (or actively pursuing licensure, as applicable)

- Proficiency in Revit and Enscape

- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and In Design

- Knowledge of rendering software programs preferred

- Strong understanding of interior construction, detailing, and furniture documentation

- Familiarity with building codes, accessibility standards, and industry best practices

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in interior design from an accredited university

5+ years of professional interior design experience preferred, ideally within an architecture or multidisciplinary design firm

Registered Interior Designer or actively pursuing licensure

** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
