About the Opportunity
Our clients Austin-based Architecture team is seeking an experienced K-12 Practice Leader to guide and expand their education portfolio. This role is designed for a design-focused leader who understands how to translate a school districts vision into innovative, functional, and inspiring learning environments.
The ideal candidate is energized by shaping educational spaces that positively impact students, educators, and communities. Whether overseeing small renovations or large-scale campus developments, this leader will bring strategic insight, design expertise, and collaborative energy to every project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate on K-12 educational projects from concept through construction documentation
- Guide design development and ensure continuity of vision across all project phases
- Develop clear, effective visual, written, and verbal communication with clients to foster lasting partnerships
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, buildable solutions
- Support the ongoing evolution of design concepts to meet client objectives and project constraints
- Contribute strategic insight to project teams across a range of construction types
- 15+ years of architectural experience, with deep expertise in K-12 building design
- Comprehensive understanding of the full architectural design process
- Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of building materials, systems, and product applications
- Advanced proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Suite
- Familiarity with Newforma Project Center, Sketch Up, and Microsoft 365 preferred
- Independent problem-solving skills and sound professional judgment
- Strong leadership presence and ability to collaborate across multiple office locations
