Position: Product Designer, Client Experience

® invites you to join as a Product Designer, Client Experience and help change the world of real estate, one home at a time.

Product Designers play an integral role in the performance and operation of a high-functioning product team. This role is expected to partner with the Product Manager and Engineering Lead from start to finish, from initial research and understanding of user problems, through scoping and the creation of user flows, all the way to polished pixels shipped to the hands of our 100million unique consumers and real estate professionals.

This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Product Design.

To be successful in this role, you will need to confidently work with a cross‑functional team throughout the full product lifecycle with comfort in all interaction and visual design activities. You will join a supportive team of product designers, with senior design resources assigned as mentors to support, assist and collaborate, and to help you continue to hone and grow your craft.

What you’ll do:
  • Collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders—including researchers, product leaders, engineers, product marketing, brand, and other designers—to solve complex problems.
  • Partner with your Product Manager to be the voice of the user, exploring multiple ideas while also knowing when to bring the work to an executable deliverable.
  • Quickly collaborate on solutions that materially improve the user experience across the products your team supports.
  • Lead most aspects of the design process from conception to completion, with the oversight and assistance of senior design leaders.
  • Articulate the value of design and the reasons for your design decisions clearly to design leaders, peers, and your product team.
  • Regularly seek out and receive design feedback with professionalism and patience.
  • Demonstrate improvements in your craft based on feedback received.
  • Maintain a flexible and willing attitude to temporarily help other product teams with design needs when the need arises.
  • Leverage our design system to ensure quality component and pattern usage in your product experiences.
  • Employ systems thinking to understand user needs, identify gaps for new design patterns, and develop solutions that scale.
  • Proactively set goals with your manager and pursue learning opportunities and areas of professional interest.
How we work:

We balance creativity and innovation on a foundation of in‑person collaboration. For most roles, our employees work three or more days in our offices, where they have the opportunity to collaborate in‑person, adding richness to our culture and knitting us closer together.

What you’ll bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5+ years relevant experience.
  • 5+ years working in design industry.
  • 1+ years of working in a product‑led organization.
  • Portfolio that demonstrates an ever‑growing design point of view and includes examples of interaction flows, prototyping, and high‑fidelity work.
  • Familiar with user‑centric processes and design thinking principles.
  • Experience working with cross‑disciplined teams.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • A systems approach to design problem solving.
  • Opinions informed by data and continuous learning, loosely held.
  • Exemplify a We, Not Me attitude.
How We Reward:
  • Inclusive and Competitive medical, Rx, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Family forming benefits.
  • 13 Paid Holidays.
  • Flexible Time Off.
  • 8 hours of paid Volunteer Time off.
  • Immediate eligibility into Company 401(k) plan with 3.5% company match.
  • Tuition Reimbursement program for degreed and non‑degreed programs.
  • 1:1 personalized Financial Planning Sessions.
  • Student Debt Retirement Savings Match program.
  • Free snacks and refreshments in each office location.
