Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are a design-forward architecture and interior design firm seeking an experienced Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager who shares our commitment to craft, intention, and detail. This is not a checklist role — it's a creative and operational partnership. You will work closely with our Director of QAQC, design principals, project managers, vendors, and clients to ensure that every project leaving our studio reflects the care and vision it was built upon.

This role is crucial to upholding and elevating the standards of our design deliverables, procurement processes, and project installations. In this role, you will serve as the final checkpoint between concept and client — ensuring that every specification, finish, furniture piece, and installed element meets our firm's exacting standards.

The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of interior design workflows, vendor ecosystems, and construction documentation, and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment. You bring structure to creative environments without dampening them, and you communicate with the kind of clarity and warmth that keeps relationships — internal and external — running smoothly.

Quality Oversight
  • QA/QC manager for interior projects and process across all active projects, through all phases of the projects.
  • Review construction documents to ensure alignment with design intent and project specifications
  • Identify areas for training, create training modules and documents, and be a resource for project teams during design
  • Collaborate with the QAQC team that maintains and evolves the firm's QA/QC standards, templates, and inspection protocols as the studio grows
Internal Communication & Team Collaboration
  • Partner closely with designers and project managers to identify potential quality risks early in the process — before they become field problems
  • Communicate QA findings clearly and constructively to team members at all levels, from junior designers to senior principals, fostering a culture of accountability without blame
  • Facilitate regular project check-ins and QC reviews, keeping internal stakeholders informed, aligned, and equipped to act
Client & External Communication
  • Represent the firm professionally in all quality-related client interactions — presenting findings, explaining resolutions, and reinforcing confidence in our process and standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience
  • 8+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or senior project management within interior design, architecture, or a related design discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to review and interpret construction documents, shop drawings, finish schedules, and FF&E specifications with a discerning eye for detail
  • Experience managing full procurement cycles — from purchase order issuance through delivery, inspection, and punch list resolution
  • Proficiency in Revit required
  • Solid understanding of building codes, ADA requirements, and relevant material and product standards (ANSI, BIFMA, ASTM)
  • Experience producing clear, well-organized QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, deficiency logs, and closeout packages
  • Strong internal communication skills — able to deliver candid, constructive feedback to designers and principals without friction, and to translate QA findings into actionable next steps that keep the team aligned and projects on track
  • Strong external communication skills — able to correspond professionally with vendors, contractors, tradespeople, and clients; skilled at addressing issues, managing expectations, and maintaining relationships even in high-pressure situations
  • NCIDQ Certification or a comparable professional credential
  • Familiarity with sustainable design certifications (LEED, WELL) and sourcing practices
  • LEED AP, WELL AP, or similar credential is a plus
