Job Description- Title:
Job Captain - Type:
Full‑time, in‑person (hybrid work options after onboarding) - Responsibilities:
Work closely with the studio Principal to contribute to and co‑lead production in all project phases, from site analysis and initial concept studies to design development, construction documentation, and construction contract administration. Prepare presentations, participate in team meetings and site visits, and coordinate with the design team, contractors, agencies and clients while nurturing these essential relationships. Contribute to the studio’s design vision and culture.
- MLA, BLA, MArch or BArch
- 3+ years of design and drafting experience in a landscape architecture or architecture office; project management experience preferred
- Proficiency in CAD:
AutoCAD and Sketch Up;
Adobe CC required;
Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Lumion and AI Rendering experience a plus
- Excellent design skills and aesthetic sensibility
- Excellent production skills: graphic and technical
- Excellent communication skills: verbal and written
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to produce high‑quality work with minimal supervision
- Ability to manage and schedule multiple projects at a time
- Ability to produce client presentations and Schematic, Design Development and Construction Document packages, and familiarity with construction contract administration practices
- Experience with grading, construction methods and materials, and detailing
- Experience with international and local codes and ordinances
- Strong work ethic and reliability
