Procore is hiring a Senior Product Designer to partner with Product and Engineering teams to create and shape Procore's Design Systems. The role involves designing components and features of the design system within Figma, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, testing, and shipping work aligned with company objectives and values. The position reports to a Head of Design Systems, has the opportunity to work in Austin, TX, and the company is looking for someone to join immediately.

What you'll do

• Lead the evolution of Procore's Design System with a focus on craft, quality, and scalability for web and mobile serving construction professionals
• Build and steward AI-forward design infrastructure by establishing reusable patterns, components, and guidelines for consistent integration of AI features
• Partner closely with product, engineering, and design teams to build, ship, and drive adoption of high-quality components
• Proactively identify gaps and opportunities in the system and take intentional steps to address them
• Facilitate contribution and change management processes to keep the Design System dynamic, inclusive, and robust
• Help bridge the gap between mobile and web to create seamless experiences across platforms
• Mentor peers in design tools and strategic thinking
• Champion a human-centered approach by integrating research and user insights into the design process

What they're looking for

• 5+ years of experience designing world-class apps with a strong portfolio of design work, with at least 2+ years in Design Systems
• Hands‑on experience using AI design tools (e.g., Figma AI, Claude, Cursor, or LLM‑assisted prototyping) and a point of view on how to scale their use responsibly within a design org
• Strong aptitude for performing and synthesizing research, including contextual inquiry
• Excellent communication skills with a proven track record presenting designs and articulating design decisions to cross‑functional teams and stakeholders
• Proficiency in leading design software such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite
• Extreme ownership, bias to action, and know‑how to succeed in ambiguity
• Ability to design as a team, exploring and promoting new ideas, especially those that aren’t your own
• Self‑aware and lead from a place of empathy
