Job Description & How to Apply Below

This is a genuine next-step opportunity for a designer ready to own real project responsibility inside a collaborative, high-performance studio. An award-winning interior design firm in Austin is looking for a Designer II to join its Residential Design Studio, working across every phase of the design process from concept to completion. Reporting to the Director of the Residential Design Studio, you'll take ownership of significant portions of projects, collaborate directly with clients, consultants, and vendors, and see your work through construction drawings all the way to final installation.

This studio's culture is built on a can-do attitude, genuine flexibility, and room to keep learning. If you're an experienced designer who loves turning ideas into elevated, livable spaces — and wants to do it alongside a team that actually invests in your growth — this is the kind of role worth making a move for.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop concept boards, finish palettes, material selections, and interior detailing with the design team
  • Create, review, and revise construction drawings, elevations, and specifications in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Lead client presentations and communicate directly on project updates and design decisions
  • Manage vendor communication, procurement, pricing, and sample coordination
  • Lead site visits and installations, coordinating vendors and consultants
  • Review and mentor Designer I work; support junior designers' growth
  • Assist Project Managers and Directors with scheduling, budgeting, and documentation
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • 4+ years of professional experience, residential design preferred
  • Proficiency in Revit required;
    AutoCAD experience expected
  • Lumion and/or Enscape experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods, detailing, and documentation
  • Photoshop or other creative software a plus
Benefits & Culture
  • Full-time, 40 hours/week; office presence required 4+ days/week with WFH flexibility
  • Semi-annual performance bonuses
  • Health insurance, short- and long-term disability
  • 401(k) with company match up to 4%
  • PTO plus sick/family/emergency time
  • Team-oriented, "can-do" culture that values collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning
