We are looking for an experienced commercial furniture designer/specifier to join an established commercial workplace interiors dealership in either Austin or Houston.
There is no fixed minimum number of years' experience required however demonstrable CET experience is required. Experience with Knoll or Haworth is also advantageous. Candidates should be able to demonstrate that they have the technical knowledge and project experience to manage commercial furniture work with a relatively high degree of independence, acting with initiative and seeking guidance when necessary.
This is an in-house design role working closely with sales teams, clients, architects, interior designers and contractors to develop furniture solutions for substantial commercial projects.
The strongest candidates will have experience using CET. This is a collaborative, office-based role for someone who wants to be closely involved in projects and client work rather than working remotely.
What You'll Do- Work in-office from Houston or Austin
- Develop commercial furniture layouts, specifications and solutions using CET
- Support substantial commercial projects, including large-scale and multi-floor installations
- Participate in showroom tours, project briefings, construction meetings and client presentations
- Coordinate design information and maintain accuracy through project development
- Experience with Knoll or Haworth is particularly relevant.

You may come from:
- A workplace interiors or contract furniture manufacturer
- A commercial design practice working on substantial furniture projects
- Strong hands-on experience with CET
- Commercial furniture design and specification experience
- Understanding of commercial projects, specifications, pricing and samples
- Experience working on substantial projects, ideally large or multi-floor environments
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Experience with Knoll or Haworth is advantageous
