Position Highlights
  • Well established group with 65 full time providers

Ascension Seton is seeking an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join a growing and busy cardiovascular group at the only transplant center in Austin. The Advanced Heart Failure program at Ascension Seton provides a full spectrum of cardiovascular care including cardiac transplantation, LVAD, and ECMO support. Ascension Texas Cardiovascular offers comprehensive cardiac care to Austin and surrounding communities, representing all subspecialties of cardiology including interventional, structural, non-invasive (cardiac CT and MR), EP, peripheral vascular, and CHF/VAD/transplant.

The group practices primarily out of four hospitals in the Austin area, including the teaching hospital at the University of Texas Dell Seton Medical Center, and collaborates with UT Dell Medical School for medical student, resident, and fellow education. The advanced heart failure team works closely with cardiology fellows as they rotate in the CVICU and heart failure service. Ascension Texas Cardiovascular also actively participates in clinical research, with approximately 25-30 ongoing trials, providing opportunities to engage in research if interested.
