About The ProgramThe Department of Neurology at The University of Texas Dell Medical School (DMS), in conjunction with the UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children's, is recruiting two epileptologiststo join our thriving Comprehensive Pediatric Epilepsy Center and pediatric neurology faculty. The UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children's is a multidisciplinary program that encompasses child neurology, pediatric rehabilitation medicine, pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric neuropsychology, and pediatric neuro-ophthalmology.
Our Comprehensive Epilepsy Center is comprised of six epileptologists, 2 epilepsy surgeons, 3neuropsychologists, six epilepsy nurse practitioners, a dedicated program administrator, dedicated epilepsy nurses, 24/7 EEG technologists, four program coordinators, and a full complement ofsupport staff that support our level IV Epilepsy Program that offers comprehensive and multidisciplinary care for children with epilepsy. Our program supports all levels of epilepsy care with multidisciplinary clinics including surgical epilepsy, ketogenticdiet, functional neurologic disorders, genetic epilepsy clinic andan accredited tuberous sclerosis center of excellence.
The epilepsy program also engages with international partners where care is provided in regions such as Kenya, St. Lucia, Antigua and Tobago.
Positive Emission Tomography, Single-Photon Emission Computed Tomography, Wada and 3T MRI are standard available techniques, andin which we complete 80 Magnetoencephalograms as well as Trans Magnetic Stimulation and functional MRI's yearly. Our epilepsy surgery program had over 1300 referrals in 2025 and completed morethan 90 resective and device surgeries in 2025. A full team whichalso includes integrated physical medicine and rehabilitation,social workers, psychologists, child life specialists, physical and occupational therapists, provides unparalleled care for patient sand their families every step of the way.
The hospital supports an8-bed inpatient epilepsy monitoring unit, and outpatient space is available in the adjoining 44,000 square foot neurosciences clinic within the Dell Children's Specialty Pavilion.
The pediatric neurosciences program is dedicated to training thenext generation of pediatric neurologists and epilepsy specialists.
We currently host a child neurology residency, adult neurology residency along with fellowships in pediatric epilepsy, pediatric headache, and pediatric neuropsychology with future expansion in pediatric rehabilitation medicine and pediatric neuromusculardisease.
Dell Children's Medical Center is a 300-bed freestanding facility that features a level 1 pediatric trauma center, a level 4 neonatal intensive care unit, a level 4 epilepsy center, and Magnet recognition for nursing excellence.
