Leadership and Compliance
- Serve as a member of the Registrar's Office leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, policy development, and service delivery improvements.
- Supervise and lead a team of managers and administrative staff across functional areas within the Office of the Registrar, fostering professional growth through coaching, mentoring, and staff development initiative. Collaborate with Assistant Registrars and Office of the Registrar leadership team to manage caseload distribution and work assignments.
- Oversee compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies.
- Develop and implement tools to identify compliance risks, develop mitigation strategies, and plans for peak periods.
- Liaise with auditors, accrediting agencies, and regulatory bodies, including, but not limited to agencies such as the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, Texas Veterans Commission (TVC), and the Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Education.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and collaborate with Information Technology and campus stakeholders to enhance data integrity and operational efficiency.
- Lead efforts with campus partners to ensure resolution of student issues and implementation of process changes to increase effectiveness and student success.
- Oversee multiple critical functional areas within the Office of the Registrar, depending on office needs.
- Regularly monitor federal, state, and institutional legislation to ensure compliance and proactively work with leadership to adjust office policies and procedures.
- Analyze data and prepare reports to support institutional decision-making and accreditation efforts.
Institutional Collaboration
- Ensure oversight and management of Office of the Registrar student-facing services. Collaborate with campus partners and colleges/schools to ensure seamless integration of student support and academic progression.
- Lead and collaborate with colleges/schools and campus partners to create and implement programs that support students. Develop academic advising partnerships to support students' educational progression.
