Senior YouTube Long-Form Writer

Codie Sanchez is hiring a Senior You Tube Long-Form Writer who knows how to turn business ideas into high-retention You Tube scripts. This is not a generalist writing role.

This is for someone who understands You Tube as a distribution engine, business, and entrepreneurship, and telling powerful stories that connect.

You will write 10–25 minute You Tube scripts focused on:

• Buying businesses
• Investing
• Cash flow
• Acquisitions
• Wealth frameworks
• Contrarian takes on money, work, and ownership

You must have You Tube credentials. Not just “I like You Tube,” but proof that you’ve written long-form content that:

• Holds attention
• Drives comments
• Builds authority
• Converts viewers into believers

You’ll work directly with our in-house You Tube team and Founder/CEO to help shape some of the most-watched business content on You Tube.

• Written a 15-minute You Tube script breaking down why boring businesses outperform tech startups
• Turned a small acquisition into a narrative case study that holds audience retention
• Built a repeatable framework viewers reference in the comments
• Rewritten a script five times to sharpen the first 30 seconds
• Partnered with editors to improve pacing, payoff, and watch time

You Tube Long-Form Writing

• Write high-retention You Tube scripts (10–25 minutes) with strong hooks, clear arcs, and memorable frameworks
• Structure content for watch time, not essays
• Bring data-backed ideas to the table and continuously work to evolve the channel

Business Storytelling

• Translate complex topics like acquisitions, finance, ownership into stories people understand, connect with and can apply in their own lives and businesses

Audience & Retention Thinking

• Write with an understanding of pacing, curiosity gaps, and psychological pull
• Obsess over the first 30 seconds and the roadmap that tells the story

Voice & Authority

• Write in a tone that is sharp, contrarian, intelligent, and earned
• Help evolve our You Tube voice as the channel scales

Speed & Execution

• Move fast. Hit deadlines. Improve through iteration
• Treat feedback as fuel, not friction

This role is not entry-level.

You should have:

• Proven experience writing long-form You Tube scripts (links required)
• A strong business mindset and interest / knowledge of startups, finance, or SMB ownership
• Clear understanding of You Tube retention, hooks, and structure
• Exceptional storytelling instincts
• Ability to simplify complex ideas without dumbing them down

• A business or finance creator
• A high-growth media brand
