Position: Program Specialist (Austin)

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Program Specialist IV performs highly complex (senior-level) consultative services and technical assistance work. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:

* Perform a variety of technical, training, research, planning, policy, program assessment, and administrative activities for assigned program(s), with a primary focus on Adult Education and Literacy programs.

* Provide timely technical assistance to Adult Education and Literacy grantees.

* Analyze performance data to help ensure compliance with program policies and procedures, statutes, and rules; and recommends corrective action(s) as needed.

* Prepare administrative reports and studies and performs specialized research projects.

* Manage communication work streams with Adult Education and Literacy program providers, including developing and distributing newsletters, drafting external communications, website updates, and other relevant information.

* May develop program policies, procedures, standards, and manuals in accordance with program objectives and goals.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

YOU QUALIFY WITH:

* Two years of full-time experience in the development, implementation, or interpretation of policies and procedures in a public or private agency.

* Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.
