Purpose

UT Austin is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and detail‑oriented training and facilitation manager to join the Career Success team to help scale a career ecosystem across the Forty Acres. The training and facilitation manager will develop trainings that educate the faculty and staff of UT Austin about how to support students in their career development and provide support that facilitates and enables student learning experiences.

This role will also provide administrative project management support that allows these trainings to scale and have maximum impact. This position will be a key member of the Career Excellence and Innovation team, working in strategic collaboration with the academic colleges and schools to empower students to develop a deeper sense of purpose, curiosity, and adaptability within life and career during and after their time at UT Austin.

Responsibilities
  • Training Program Management. Develop and run trainings and learning experiences that increase awareness, enthusiasm, and competency with UT's career ecosystem approach. Educate the campus community on all Career Success resources: the Career and Life Integration curriculum, career development best practices, better utilization of enterprise technology tools, and embedded experiential learning, etc. Create specialized versions of trainings based on the audience, including faculty, career coaches, advisors, and employers.

    Research best practices in career innovation, and evaluate/discern trainings to be developed.
  • Instruction & Co‑facilitation. Work alongside the colleges and schools to co‑teach content during pilots and new partnerships. Create and deliver tailored content for classroom visits, breakout sessions, and workshops. (10%)
  • Learning and Development Administration. Work with the associate director of career excellence and innovation and instructional designer to build learning sequences and badge that enable a new standard of professional development across campus. Work with existing campus platforms, such as UTLearn, Canvas, Canva, and Accredible to embed career learning and development.
  • Administrative Project Management. Send out tailored marketing and communications to engage campus partners of career learning and development opportunities. Maintain training calendar and collect assessment data that measures the impact of career learning and development programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years of experience leading trainings or facilitated experiences
  • Experience with Qualtrics, project management software, and Power Point
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree
  • Training and/or certifications in life design, career coaching, or other student‑centered facilitation modalities
  • Experience with leading train‑the‑trainer sessions in a higher education setting
Salary Range

$63,000 + depending on qualifications
