The Distance Learning Specialist will assist the Distance Learning Coordinator with the day-to-day operations of classroom Lecture Capture and address any additional distance learning needs for the Cockrell School of Engineering.
ResponsibilitiesSchedules, programs, installs, and maintains lecture capture hardware and software, as well as delivers archived lectures to instructors and students.
Provides support to the Distance Learning Coordinator in evaluating new learning technologies for effectiveness and compliance with University of Texas policies.
Assists in the design and deployment of distance learning technologies across the Cockrell School of Engineering campus.
Performs other related functions as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED and five years' professional experience in the field of radio, television or film program productions (OR)
Bachelor's degree and a year of professional experience in the field of radio, television or film program productions
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree and at least two years of professional experience in the field of radio, television or film program productions
Experience in AV Integration, Broadcasting, Education K-12/Higher ED, Instructional Design, and Higher ED Administration
$50,000 + depending on qualifications
Working ConditionsWork is performed in a standard office environment
Repetitive use of keyboard at workstation
Soldering and Cable Termination
Ability to lift 60 lbs. over their head
Significant travel is required
Work outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, is required
