Location: Shoreline Church – Austin, TX (North & South Campuses)
Reports To: Ministries Pastor
Scope: Church-Wide (North Campus, South Campus, Online)

The OpportunityAustin is one of the fastest-growing cities in America — and it is full of young people searching for identity, community, and purpose. Shoreline Church has been a spiritual home in this city for over three decades, built on a simple but powerful mission: to help people Know God, Find Life, and Make a Difference.
We are at an inflection point. Our Next Gen ministries — spanning Children’s (Pipeline), Middle School (Midway), High School, and Young Adults — are growing across two campuses and online. We are not looking for someone to maintain what exists. We are looking for a proven leader who will build a nationally replicable model for next-generation engagement: one that moves young people from Sunday attendance to deep discipleship, active community, and missional living.
This is a rare seat at the table of a healthy, multi-site church in one of the most dynamic cities in the country. If you are a builder who thinks in systems, leads with soul, and is passionate about the next generation encountering Jesus — this role was designed for you.
Role OverviewThe Youth & Young Adults Pastor provides director-level spiritual and strategic leadership over Shoreline’s entire Next Gen ecosystem. This leader oversees youth ministry (Middle School and High School) at North Campus and provides church-wide strategic vision for Young Adults ministry, with the long-term mandate of building a unified, scalable Next Gen culture across all Shoreline locations.
The ideal candidate is an experienced ministry builder who combines pastoral heart with organizational intelligence — someone who develops leaders, builds systems that outlast them, and can articulate a compelling vision that parents, students, and volunteers want to rally around.
Key Responsibilities – Vision & Strategy- Develop and champion a unified Next Gen strategy across North Campus, South Campus, and Online that serves students from middle school through young adulthood.
- Build a nationally replicable model for next-generation engagement — from first-time guest to discipled leader.
- Establish clear discipleship pathways and milestones across each life stage.
- Provide direct pastoral oversight for Middle School and High School ministries at North Campus.
- Lead, develop, and coach staff and volunteer teams for both youth environments.
- Ensure Sunday experiences and midweek programming are spiritually engaging, culturally relevant, and aligned with Shoreline’s mission.
- Cast and refine the vision for Young Adults ministry (ages 18–29) across all campuses, in alignment with Shoreline’s existing Tuesday night community.
- Partner with campus leadership to ensure contextual implementation at each site.
- Build pathways that move young adults from engagement to ownership within the church.
- Recruit, train, and invest in a diverse volunteer and staff team that reflects Shoreline’s community.
- Identify and develop emerging Next Gen leaders for long-term ministry impact.
- Build a leadership pipeline that creates sustainability and reduces single-point-of-failure risk.
- Build strong relationships with parents as partners in the discipleship of their children and teenagers.
- Collaborate with Children’s Ministry to create a seamless K–12 journey.
- Engage schools, local organizations, and community partners to expand ministry reach.
- Function as a full contributor to the broader Shoreline staff team — participating in strategic planning, all-staff rhythms, and cross-departmental initiatives.
- Work closely with Worship & Production, Pastoral Care, and Campus leadership to ensure integration across ministries.
- Develop and manage annual budgets for youth and young adult ministries across campuses.
- Oversee event, retreat, and programming budgets with financial transparency and accountability.
- Minimum 7 years of pastoral ministry…
