Summary of PositionSt. Michael’s Prep seeks a qualified and passionate educator to serve as our Student Services Testing Proctor for the 2026‑2027 academic year. This full‑time, 10‑month faculty position begins in August 2026 and involves supporting student success across Pre‑K‑8 grades.
Ideal CandidatesThe ideal candidate is a collaborative, student‑centered professional experienced in or eager to develop expertise in social‑emotional learning, technology‑rich practices, and differentiated support for students with diverse learning styles and needs. The role requires strong organization, calendaring, and coordination skills for student testing processes.
Responsibilities- Knowledge and understanding of developmental stages and needs of students
- Work with students having academic difficulty and/or returning after an extended absence
- Proctor testing for all LS and MS students, including accommodations such as extended testing time, and supervise small groups
- Oversee and schedule small‑group testing; assist in ERB/CTP‑5 standardized test scheduling and proctoring
- Develop expertise in social‑emotional learning
- Work and plan collaboratively with the student services team
- Perform assigned duties such as carpool, lunch, and recess responsibilities
- Cover academic and non‑academic classes (e.g., study hall, homeroom) as needed
- Demonstrate effective classroom management
- Maintain timely communication with colleagues and administrators
- Participate in professional development to learn and utilize innovative tools and techniques that improve student learning
- A growth mindset
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with students, department chairs, faculty, staff, and parents
- A positive attitude
- A bachelor’s degree is required
