Salary:
This is a 12-month, full-time, 232-day position with a Minimum Salary of $73,132

Job Summary (Primary Purpose):

Work independently under the supervision of the Social Studies Content Coordinator to provide support in the statewide development of content-specific TCMPC curriculum support components, including all related documents, products, and services such as assessment, resources, and professional development

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Education/Certificates):

* Texas Teacher Certification in content area

* Strong understanding of and experience with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) state standards, including corresponding grade band ELPS, CCRS, etc.

* Extensive knowledge of K-12 social studies curriculum and instruction trends, technology, assessment and school systems

* Five years of classroom teaching experience in content area

* Familiarity with cloud-based productivity suites, online curriculum platforms, and other content-specific software

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Education/Certificates):

* Master's or advanced degree in curriculum, assessment, or a content-related field

* Curriculum and assessment leadership experience at the campus, district, regional, and/or state level

* TCMPC/TEKS Resource System curriculum supports development or implementation experience

Job Responsibilities /

Essential Functions:

* Serve as a representative of the Texas Curriculum Management Program Cooperative (TCMPC) and ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public

* Manage the development, revision, and enhancement of social studies-related curriculum, assessment, and resources

* Collaborate with Social Studies Content Coordinator and content area team to review TEA and SBOE agendas and rules as well as system feedback to plan project goals, processes, budgets, and timelines

* Regularly communicate project progress, areas of concern, and potential solutions to ensure project completion

* Participate in strategic, long-range planning by analyzing data and stakeholder feedback to determine development needs

* Support a team of contracted personnel with oversight by Content Coordinator, including providing training, communicating development workflows and timelines, and evaluating deliverables

* Plan and support statewide professional development to support content and products

* Establish and maintain strong working relationships with content area team through regular and timely communication

* Stay current with trends in the areas of curriculum, instruction, technology, assessment, state/federal accountability, and school systems by attending and/or participating in professional development and/or meetings facilitated by state and national educational organizations and TEA

* Contribute to the maintenance of an internal file management system (SharePoint) for the retention and development of content and processes

* Utilize time management skills and strong communication for effective execution of position responsibilities and to ensure timelines are met

* Perform other duties as assigned
