Primary RoleThis is a leadership position that supports Grades 6-12.
Qualifications- Master’s degree in education administration or similar field required
- Texas Principal’s certification required
- Experience in school leadership
- Ability to clearly present ideas verbally and in writing
- Ability to read and interpret data to inform instructional planning, programming, and strategies
- Latest instructional techniques, concepts, tools and models including but not limited to Understanding by Design and High Reliability Schools
- Familiarity with systems used for planning, tracking and assessment
- Participate in the development and implementation of the campus improvement plan to ensure alignment with identified student needs, district goals and priorities.
- Assist Principals in the planning and implementation of instructional programs (including Professional Learning Communities) as well as assessment programs and protocols.
- Assist Principals in guidance and supervision of instructional staff.
- Attend assigned Section 504 and special education student meetings.
- Recommend, lead and/or coordinate professional development that drives academic and character outcomes for students.
- Provide leadership to and supervision of CCMR Counselor and Campus Test Coordinator.
- Oversee and guide programs that support students and accountability in College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR).
- Collaborate with Development Manager and CCMR counselor to steward funds from the College Access and Persistence grant for maximum benefit to NYOS students.
- Oversee Career and Technology Education (CTE) course planning, resources, partnerships and implementation.
- Ensure compliance in NYOS CTE programs. Identify opportunities and necessary instructional resources to further develop CTE certification offerings.
- Work with the Principal to provide tactical assistance enabling NYOS to achieve certification levels within the Marzano High Reliability Schools framework.
- Spearhead the implementation of The Leader in Me framework for grades 6-8, collaborating with teachers for planning, materials, and professional development.
