Job Overview

Annual salary of $100,000, distributed weekly. Full health, dental, and vision coverage begins on day one.

• Facilitate one‑hour life‑skill workshops for K‑8 students focused on public speaking, concentration, teamwork, and feedback exchange using project‑based and hands‑on activities.
• Conduct daily individual and small‑group motivation sessions to review student progress in adaptive learning platforms (Coachbot analytics), establish goals, and drive students toward 100% weekly completion.
• Deliver and assess Test2
  
  Pass evaluations to verify genuine mastery of life skills, not merely attendance.
• Adjust coaching approach across diverse age groups, from kindergarteners requiring high energy and physical activity to 8th graders needing direct conversation and accountability.
• Cultivate authentic connections with each student to build trust through resistance, distraction, and uncertainty.

• Deliver lectures or traditional academic instruction; core academic subjects are learned through adaptive applications.
• Create lesson plans or original curriculum;
  Alpha supplies playbooks to execute.
• Handle parent communications or administrative duties; campus leads manage those areas.
• Evaluate homework or prepare students for standardized tests; these elements do not exist in the model.
• Operate independently; you function within a campus team alongside Lead Guides, Campus Leads, and colleagues.

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of direct experience with K‑8 students (teaching, coaching, counseling, or youth program management).
• Demonstrated experience motivating or coaching K‑8 students toward academic, behavioral, or extracurricular objectives, with at least one concrete example you can articulate.
• Daily engagement with generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude).
• Ability to work in‑person at an Alpha campus located in one of the listed cities (relocation assistance available).
• Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

• Background in youth sports coaching, camp leadership, or after‑school programs with direct responsibility for motivating children toward specific objectives.
• History of significant personal accomplishment (academic distinctions, competitive sports, or leadership positions requiring sustained high performance).
• Storytelling capability: maintain the attention of a room full of 12‑year‑olds for an hour without raising your voice.
• Proven ability to motivate disengaged or reluctant students and convert them into engaged contributors.

Alpha School reshapes education using AI to accelerate learning and unleash student potential. Students master core academics in about two hours a day, freeing time for hands‑on, passion‑driven learning that prepares them for the real world.

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. Compensation is $50 USD/hour, equating to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. Payment is weekly.
