We are seeking an experienced Toddler Lead Guide for the school year. This position starts in August 2026.
Who We Are:The Children’s House Montessori School of Austin is a private holistic Montessori school that cultivates brilliant thinkers from the youngest ages. TCH will be entering it’s 6th year this upcoming school year and we are excited to have a dedicated Lead Toddler Guide join our close-knit team of passionate individuals.
Our school’s motto is “be kind, be gentle, be safe”. We take Maria Montessori’s age-old philosophy and pair it with a new approach for our teachers and staff. Unlike any other Montessori school, we apply the method to how we run the business and treat our staff. We take it from “follow the child” all the way up to “follow the employee”.

- Toddler Lead Guide, with at least 2 years experience in a Montessori classroom
- MACTE- accredited Montessori certificatioon required- preferably AMI, AMS or IMC
- Must be compassionate, passionate about the method, lover of learning; respectful to all children, colleagues, and parents
- Have experience with toddler-aged children (18 months
-3 years old) - Strong believer in the “follow the child to foster independence” method
- Views parents are partners
- Takes pride in their work
- Enjoys being part of a close-knit team
- Agrees with The Children’s House philosophy
- Create and lead your own classroom (Maximum of 12 students with an assistant guide and third floater arriving early afternoon)
- Parent/teacher conferences
- Classroom setup
- Classroom overview
- Delegation of tasks to the Assistant
- Ensure all clean up & preparation are completed
- Material making
- Required trainings from state licensing and professional development hours
