Position open to all applicants, full‑time 40 hours per week, exempt from FLSA. Funding guaranteed until January 31 , 2028, renewable upon availability of funding and performance.

Purpose:
Conduct and report on strategic initiatives that engage alumni, enhance student career success, foster lifelong connections and position the College of Natural Sciences as a premier destination for employer and alumni engagement.
- Design and implement alumni engagement programs that align with student interests and workforce trends, building databases and processes from the ground up. Research prospects, initiate outreach, develop relationships, communicate opportunities, track contact, interest, and participation. Leverage data from engagement‑tracking platforms to inform strategy, execute multi‑channel marketing initiatives, and foster mentorship opportunities with advisory council members.
- Develop programs that promote alumni achievements, recruit and manage student ambassadors, and build lifelong alumni connections.
- Act as liaison between university leadership and the alumni/student community, providing valuable feedback and fostering collaboration across departments. Engage advisory council members to nominate alumni for mentorship and speaking opportunities, co‑create initiatives with key partners, and pilot online networking platforms to enhance engagement.
- Support event planning, ensure smooth operations, gather feedback, and track engagement outcomes through platforms like 12
Twenty. - Other duties as assigned, including supporting special projects and staffing events within CNS.
- Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in alumni relations, development, career services, health professions, natural sciences, human resources, or a related field.
- Strategic collaboration and ability to work across departments and with advisory councils.
- Program development, implementation, and evaluation involving multiple stakeholders.
- Event‑planning expertise, including logistics, promotion, and follow‑up.
- Relationship building with alumni, students, faculty, and industry partners.
- Detail‑oriented and process‑minded, keeping initiatives organized.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
- Cross‑functional collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Data literacy and familiarity with engagement‑tracking platforms.
- Marketing and outreach proficiency using multiple digital channels, adeptness with Canva and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of mentorship models and facilitation of alumni‑student interactions.
- Technology proficiency with CRM, event‑management, and collaboration tools.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- Full‑time position based on campus.
- Occasional evening or weekend work for events, employer engagements, and student career‑development activities.
- Occasional travel for events.
- Salary $60,000 – $62,225.
