Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated CNA Instructor / Licensed Vocational Nurse to lead and inspire future healthcare professionals. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive training to aspiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), ensuring they acquire the essential skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to excel in patient care settings. Your expertise will help shape competent, compassionate caregivers ready to meet the demands of diverse clinical environments.

- Develop and deliver engaging curriculum tailored to CNA and LVN training programs, incorporating current best practices and industry standards
- Utilize learning management systems (LMS) such as Blackboard to organize course materials, assessments, and student progress tracking
- Conduct classroom instruction that integrates medical terminology, nursing procedures, and patient care protocols across various specialties including pediatrics, critical care, ICU, primary care, and senior care
- Supervise students during clinical rotations in teaching hospitals or healthcare facilities, providing mentorship and feedback on clinical performance
- Review documentation such as care plans, patient records, and assessment reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
- Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement in adult education settings
- Collaborate with nursing administration and faculty on curriculum development, research initiatives, and continuous quality improvement efforts
- Must be a current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Texas;
- Successfully completed a course in teaching adults, experience in teaching adults or supervising nurse aides; preferred
- Proven supervising experience in clinical or educational settings with working knowledge of adult education principles
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a facility is required
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, nursing procedures, patient care practices, and documentation review processes
- Experience with curriculum development tailored for higher education nursing programs or vocational training courses
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds while fostering a positive learning environment
