Compensation Commensurate with Experience

The Elementary Qur’an & Islamic Studies Teacher delivers structured Qur’an recitation and Islamic Studies instruction to elementary-grade students. This teacher plays a vital role in nurturing each student’s connection to the Qur’an and foundational Islamic knowledge within a warm, structured, and faith-centered classroom.

• Deliver Qur’an recitation instruction aligned with Tajweed standards
• Collaborate with QAIS department on curriculum scope and sequence
• Teach grade-level Islamic Studies: aqeedah, fiqh, seerah, and akhlaq
• Communicate proactively with families regarding student progress
• Track individual student recitation progress and issue quarterly reports
• Attend school-wide professional development and staff meetings
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs across sections
• Model and uphold the school’s Islamic values and educational mission

• Bachelor’s degree required (Islamic Studies or Education preferred)
• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
• Proficiency in Qur’an recitation with proper Tajweed
• Arabic language proficiency a plus
• Prior classroom teaching experience preferred
