Position: Testing Coordinator - IDEA Kyle College Prep (26-27)

Role Mission

Through the work of the Testing Coordinator, teachers and leaders can feel confident in the data‑driven decisions they are making. These decisions help IDEA Public Schools achieve the goal of supporting 100% of scholars as they proceed to and through college. Testing Coordinators support this work by ensuring that 100% of students take all appropriate tests in an environment conducive to standardized testing.

They work with campus partners to ensure that students take all eligible tests with approved accommodations. When this work is executed successfully, the leadership team can focus on both the social‑emotional support of students and family engagement.

    • Hourly rate ranging between $21.56 for 0 years of experience and $26.95.

Qualifications
  • Education:

    High School Diploma; 48+ college credit hours preferred.
  • Experience:

    Preferred educational experience; testing experience valued.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Accountabilities (Responsibilities)
  • Ensure 100% of students have high‑quality testing environments.
  • Attend all scheduled trainings with the national Assessment Team.
  • Actively participate in TC TEAMS, review training materials, and read the weekly Testing Coordinator Newsletter.
  • Create and communicate campus testing plans for all district, state, and national assessments.
  • Communicate testing schedules and updates to students’ parents/families.
  • Coordinate with campus IT technician for online testing readiness.
  • Ensure access to the appropriate online testing system for staff and students.
  • Prepare testing bins 72 hours in advance of any testing date.
  • Review testing bin contents with administrators and ensure correct implementation.
  • Audit accommodations and supplemental materials with special population point persons.
  • Process and manage state assessment materials per district guidelines.
  • Audit paper test booklets and answer documents for accuracy.
  • Provide timely deliverables to the National Assessment Team (data reporting, student counts, computer needs, etc.).
  • Appointed as the school’s designated ACT, pre‑ACT, or AP Coordinator if needed.
  • Lead campus testing training and ensure staff compliance with testing policies.
  • Schedule biweekly meetings with special population point persons to maintain accommodation entries.
  • Schedule meetings with test proctors to ensure proper accommodation implementation.
  • Oversee testing sessions to maintain compliance with policies.
  • Collect and act on feedback from test support staff and leaders to improve future sessions.
  • Set up and monitor online testing systems to ensure 100% of students are tested appropriately.
  • Partner with IT tech to prep equipment 48 hours in advance.
  • Investigate irregularities and report incidents promptly.
  • Maintain 98% completion rates of all assessments by deadlines.
  • Ensure 100% of teachers have access to assessment systems and distribute exams via Edcite.
  • Monitor scanning of assessments and meet 95% multiple‑choice scanning within 24 hours.
  • Track and ensure 100% of eligible students complete all applicable assessments.
