Position: Testing Coordinator - IDEA Health Professions Academy (26-27)

Role Mission

Through the work of the Testing Coordinator, teachers and leaders can feel confident in the data‑driven decisions they are making. These decisions help IDEA Public Schools achieve the goal of supporting 100% of scholars as they proceed to and through college. Testing Coordinators ensure that 100% of students take all appropriate tests in an environment conducive to standardized testing, and work with campus partners to ensure that students take all eligible tests with approved accommodations.

Compensation is hourly between $21.56 for 0 years of experience and $26.95.

Qualifications
  • Education:

    High School Diploma; 48+ college credit hours preferred.
  • Experience:

    Educational experience preferred; testing experience valued.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Accountabilities
  • Ensure 100% of students have high‑quality testing environments for district, state, and national tests.
  • Attend all scheduled trainings with the national Assessment Team.
  • Participate in TC TEAMS group, scheduled trainings, and review training materials; read weekly Testing Coordinator Newsletter and other required documents.
  • Create and communicate campus testing plans for every assessment administration to manager, team, teachers, staff in accordance with National Assessment Team timelines.
  • Communicate testing schedules and updates to students’ parents/families.
  • Coordinate with campus IT technician to ensure online testing computers are updated and ready before test day.
  • Ensure campus staff and students have access to appropriate online testing systems.
  • Prepare testing bins 72 hours in advance of each assessment, including small group testing and supplemental materials.
  • Review testing bin contents with test administrator 2 days before testing date and confirm implementation procedures.
  • Audit accommodations and supplemental materials with special population point persons (SPED, ELL, 504, RTI) before testing.
  • Process and manage state assessment materials per district guidelines, checking materials in and out from the National Assessment Team.
  • Audit paper state test booklets and answer documents with a test‑security trained lead team member to ensure accuracy.
  • Execute all deliverables requested by the National Assessment Team on time, including data reporting, student counts, computer needs, and other information.
  • May serve as the school’s designated ACT Test Coordinator, preACT Test Coordinator, or AP Coordinator.
  • Lead campus testing training to teach staff policies and procedures; schedule biweekly meetings with special point persons to update accommodations.
  • Schedule meetings with test proctors 2 days before testing to ensure proper implementation of accommodations.
  • Oversee all testing sessions to maintain compliance with policies.
  • Collect and provide feedback to staff after each testing session to improve future experiences.
  • Set up and monitor online testing systems and implementation to ensure 100% of students are tested appropriately.
  • Partner with campus IT tech to prepare equipment 48 hours in advance.
  • Investigate irregularities at campus level and report incidents to the National Assessment Team by close of business the same day.
  • Achieve 98% completion rates of all assessments by deadlines.
