Position: Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Instructor

The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) is seeking a highly qualified Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Instructor for our Austin, TX campus. This position is integral to shaping the future of healthcare professionals by delivering exceptional instruction in Sonography. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering a learning-centered environment that aligns with CHCP’s commitment to academic excellence and professional development.

Responsibilities
  • Leverage your expertise to deliver competency-based education tailored to the dynamic needs of the healthcare sector
  • Collaborate with students to achieve mastery of course competencies and prepare them for success in the healthcare marketplace
  • Contribute to a culture of mutual respect, lifelong learning, and professional growth within the classroom setting
  • Utilize innovative teaching methodologies to inspire curiosity and engagement among students
  • Bring real-world Sonography experience into the classroom to enhance learning outcomes and industry relevance
  • Deliver competency-based education in alignment with CHCP’s curriculum model and standards
  • Design and implement innovative instructional strategies to engage students effectively

Qualifications
  • Minimum Education:

    Associate’s Degree in a related field
  • Professional Credentials:
    Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN), and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) registries required
  • Experience:

    Minimum of three (3) years of full-time professional experience in Sonography
  • Demonstrated proficiency in teaching methodology and instructional techniques
  • Highly organized, confident public speaker, and passionate about education
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs and learning styles
  • Proficiency in lesson planning, organization, and classroom management
  • Commitment to fostering student success and professional development
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and dedication to continuous improvement in teaching practices
  • Proficiency in educational technology and willingness to explore innovative tools
