Purpose
This position will facilitate the educational and research activities of the RGK Center to advance the Center's mission of educating the next generation of nonprofit and philanthropic leaders. The role will manage day‑to‑day details and development/long‑term growth strategies, coordinate and support the Social Entrepreneurship course and the Nonprofit Studies Portfolio programs, facilitate student internships and professional development activities, and provide event and communication support.
Responsibilities- Program Management
- Lead implementation of the Social Entrepreneurship Course (SEC) and determine program funding, sponsor ships, budget, contracts, and review applicants.
- Partner with LBJ Communications to update SEC webpage and develop marketing strategy.
- Serve as primary contact for students and faculty; maintain communications and share assignments.
- Manage classroom logistics on day of instruction.
- Track attendance, coordinate student surveys and report results.
- Organize final graduation ceremony.
- Nonprofit Studies Portfolio Program
- Provide opportunities to develop specialized skills and meet with students to review progress and submit paperwork.
- Collaborate with RGK staff to assess portfolio structure and maintain alignment with university guidelines.
- Approve course waiver requests and new portfolio courses.
- Attend portfolio events to connect with students and provide guidance.
- Student Experiential Learning Opportunities
- Develop internship opportunities and collaborate with center leadership to support new internships.
- Maintain relationships with nonprofits to create internships for students.
- Work with LBJ Office of Student Affairs and Admissions to ensure alignment with standards.
- Support administrative tasks for portfolio and new programs.
- Event Planning and Logistics
- Plan event calendar for students, alumni, and community stakeholders.
- Identify partners, speakers, moderators, and develop content.
- Coordinate external and internal vendors for logistics and promotional content.
- Communications, Outreach, and Engagement
- Support the center director in outreach activities.
- Represent LBJ and RGK Center at local and national convenings.
- Build relationships with universities, foundations, NGOs, and community organizations.
- Develop and maintain strategic communications plans with marketing and development staff.
- Collaborate on alumni engagement and fundraising opportunities.
- Administration and Oversight
- Create SOPs, adjudication standards, and review applications for fellowships.
- Complete event and program administrative tasks.
- Provide oversight and professional development for student workers.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience coordinating or administering programs.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Experience planning events.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field and more than the required years of experience.
- Experience evaluating programs and developing written and digital content for social media.
- Knowledge of nonprofit and philanthropic sectors and consulting experience with such organizations.
- Experience in a leadership role.
- Bilingual proficiency.
$75,000 plus depending on qualifications.
Working Conditions- Standard office environment.

- Occasional extended evening or weekend hours related to events.
