Purpose: Provide individual and group career coaching services to Liberal Arts students. Serve as a Career Coach for undergraduate Liberal Arts students. Our goal is to help Liberal Arts students understand the variety of opportunities available to them and to help articulate the value of their Liberal Arts education.
Responsibilities- Career
Coaching:
Provide comprehensive individual and group career coaching services, including defining career goals; developing career plans; internship assistance; resume and cover letter critiques; and connecting students with resources. Provide both case and behavioral mock interview services. Share information and collaborate with recruiting team to bridge student and employer needs. - Outreach and Presentations:
Develop, implement, and coordinate workshops, events, and career preparation opportunities. Network with employers, student groups, and campus constituencies to promote career connections. Maintain and manage Canvas resource pages. - Administrative and Team Support:
Represent Liberal Arts Career Services in on-campus and off-campus meetings. Research and create career-related content for student, alumni, and employer collateral. Assist staff with office events, including career fairs. Attend staff and career coach meetings. Enter and maintain electronic coaching notes in office database.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least three years of experience in career services, or a role performing a variety of career coaching, recruiting, teaching, advising and/or counseling activities.
- Demonstrated interest in working with undergraduate students in a career or mentoring capacity.
- Excellent project management, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting to large groups, both virtually and in-person.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Master’s degree and experience working in higher education career services.
- Knowledge of skills developed in a liberal arts curriculum.
- Experience teaching or coaching students in an academic or career setting.
- Experience using Canvas, Teams, SharePoint and Zoom.
$60,000
Working ConditionsTypical office environment.
