Job OverviewHillcrest Children’s Academy is seeking a passionate, joyful, and dependable Infant/Toddler Teacher (ages birth-36 months) to join our growing team! If you love children and love Jesus, this may be the perfect place for you. As a brand-new center, we are building a team of educators who are committed to excellence, faith, and high-quality early education. Assistant Teachers will support classrooms across all age groups and play a vital role in maintaining a nurturing, engaging learning environment.
We are looking for individuals who feel called to serve children and families through Christ-centered education.
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood standards
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity
- Managing classroom behavior to ensure a safe, respectful, and structured atmosphere
- Provide individualized support to children, adapting guidance and instruction to meet diverse learning styles
- Foster strong communication with families regarding children’s development and progress
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and classroom documentation
Collaborate with teaching staff to promote a cohesive, inclusive learning environment - Float between classrooms as needed to provide coverage and support
- Ability to develop and maintain daily schedules and routines that foster independence and positive self-image
- Promote vocabulary development, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Utilize play-based learning to develop cognitive, fine motor, and gross motor skills
- Recognize and validate children’s emotions while teaching self-regulation through modeling and guidance
- Incorporate regular physical activity to support overall health and development
- Strong teamwork skills and a servant-hearted attitude
