This position is located at the prestigious University of Texas Elementary School (UTES) in downtown Austin, Texas.  This 194 days (traditional school calendar) position is from August 1st to May 31. The University of Texas Elementary School is a public charter school and follows all state and federal regulations for public school services. UTES is a part of the University of Texas at Austin’s College of Education.

Salary will be spread over 12 months.## Purpose Support the academic, behavioral, social, emotional, and mental health needs of students through direct services, consultation, collaboration, and school wide prevention efforts. Coordinate campus social-emotional learning initiatives, support implementation of trauma-informed practices, provide crisis intervention services, and oversee the campus social work internship program.## Responsibilities
* Student Support Services  + Provide direct and indirect school social work services to students experiencing academic, behavioral, social, emotional, attendance, or family-related concerns.  + Conduct observations, interviews, assessments, and consultations to identify student needs and barriers to success.  + Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement intervention plans.  + Develop individualized behavior support plans through the MTSS/RTI process.  

+ Coordinate implementation and progress monitoring of behavioral and social-emotional interventions.  + Facilitate referrals to community agencies and mental health providers when appropriate.  + Participate in multidisciplinary teams, including MTSS, attendance, behavior support, Section 504, and other student support meetings.  + Serve as a member of the crisis response time and provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, and follow-up support for students and families.  

+ Maintain appropriate documentation and records in accordance with district and professional standards.
