Position Overview

We are seeking a Catholic part‑time PK‑4 teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic preschool classroom at our Austin, TX Center for 13 hours per week.

• Prepare instructional materials and lesson plans at home.
• Deliver lessons in a highly structured classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe learning space.
• Attend mandatory teacher training sessions on August 4, 5, and 6, 2026.
• Follow curriculum and grading guidelines provided by RCA.

• No teaching certification or formal teaching experience required.
• Proficiency with computer tools, preferably Google Suite, is a plus.
• Experience in homeschooling, working with homeschooled children, ministry within a Catholic parish, teaching religious education or catechism courses, or teaching in a classical or private school (not required).
• Strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, and a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
• Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and demonstrate a deep love for the Catholic faith, including living sacra mentally day‑to‑day.
• All staff must complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training before teaching.

• Work schedule:
  
  Mondays and Thursdays, 9:00 am – 3:30 pm (13 hours per week).
• Optional childcare is not provided during mandatory training; nursing babies are welcome.
• All employees must undergo a clear background check.
