Senior Academic Program Coordinator, International Engineering Education

Position within the Cockrell School of Engineering, University of Texas  role focuses on developing, coordinating, and advising for engineering study abroad programs.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates faculty‑led programs including:
    • Program development, budgeting and contract processing
    • Program promotion and recruiting
    • Program‑specific student advising and pre‑departure support throughout the program
    • Faculty and TA advising and pre‑departure support during the program
    • Program assessment
    • Logistics and support coordination with onsite providers and/or onsite when needed
  • Assists office director and faculty with:
    • Faculty program proposal and workshop development
    • Pilot program development and reconnaissance site visits
    • Collaboration with the team on various projects
  • Other related functions as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Five years of experience coordinating study abroad programs
  • Experience studying or working on site or abroad
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s in a related field
  • More than five years of experience working or studying abroad in and outside of Western Europe
  • Experience working with faculty‑led programs in a university environment
  • Demonstrated interest in student development
Salary Range

$60,000 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions
  • Work is performed in a standard office environment
  • Repetitive use of keyboard at workstation
  • Work outside of regular business hours is required periodically, including evenings and weekends
  • Travel may be required periodically
Work Shift
  • Standard business hours Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Periodic work outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required
