Director of Children's Ministry

What You'll Do

• Lead and oversee Praise & Play (Nursery) and Bethany Kids ministries.
• Recruit, equip, encourage, and shepherd volunteers and ministry leaders.
• Build meaningful relationships with children and their families, providing encouragement and care.
• Plan and lead major children's ministry events, including:
• Vacation Bible School
• Camp Bethany
• Easter Celebration
• Children's Christmas Program
• Partner with Bethany Preschool and Let It Shine Preschool to plan chapel experiences and connect preschool families with Bethany's ministry.
• Create welcoming Sunday morning environments that help children grow in their faith.
• Maintain children's ministry spaces, including the children's lobby, activity bags, and sensory/cry room.
• Develop and manage the annual ministry budget and assist with fundraising initiatives.
• Collaborate with pastors and staff to support Bethany's mission and vision.

• A growing Christian faith and a passion for helping children and families follow Jesus.
• A relational leader who enjoys building teams and developing volunteers.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Flexible, adaptable, and committed to serving wherever needed to support the ministry.

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience serving or working in children's ministry, education, or a related field preferred.
• Experience recruiting, leading, and developing volunteers preferred.
• Ability to work Sunday mornings and occasional evenings and weekends for ministry events.
