Principal Responsibilities- Prepare and teach courses in Engineering to a multicultural student population based on department‑approved learning outcomes, using a variety of instructional strategies appropriate to community‑college students.
- Evaluate student progress and provide clear, timely feedback reflecting program learning outcomes and departmental expectations.
- Provide teaching and mentoring services to students in a manner that does not discriminate based on protected categories.
- Remain current in the field through professional development activities.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by department chair, dean, or higher administration.
- Demonstrate proficiency using computer applications, online resources, and a learning management system such as Blackboard to develop and build course content and perform administrative duties.
- Meet deadlines for attendance certification and submission of final course grades.
- Maintain regular office hours to assist students and improve retention and success.
- Recognize and reflect standards of civility and collegiality in all interactions.
- Comply with published college policies and meet professional teaching standards for a community college.
- Use the college’s learning management system appropriately.
Master's degree in Engineering; or Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Engineering.

Work is routinely performed in an office/classroom environment. Tasks include standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling; lifting up to 10 pounds. Follow safety rules and report unsafe conditions.
