This full-time, on-site Bilingual Teacher role is based in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area and is responsible for providing instruction in both English and another target language to elementary or secondary students. The Bilingual Teacher plans and delivers standards-based lessons that support language development and academic achievement, using culturally responsive and inclusive teaching practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, differentiating instruction for multilingual learners, assessing student progress, and maintaining accurate records.
The role also involves collaborating with colleagues and families, participating in professional development, and contributing to campus initiatives that promote equity, engagement, and high expectations for all students.
- Demonstrated skills in Teaching and Education, with experience delivering bilingual instruction and supporting diverse learners.
- Strong abilities in Lesson Planning, including designing differentiated, standards-aligned lessons and assessments for multilingual students.
- Effective Communication skills in English and the target language, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Experience in Training or mentoring students and, when applicable, supporting peers through collaboration and shared instructional practices.
- Valid teaching certification or eligibility for certification in Texas, with appropriate bilingual or ESL endorsement as required.
- Proficiency in the target language (such as Spanish) appropriate to the grade level and content area being taught.
- Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive teaching and to fostering a safe, respectful classroom environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; advanced degrees in education, bilingual education, or curriculum and instruction are beneficial.
