Center for Humanities (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor)
The Center for Humanities at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for tenure-track and tenured faculty positions in Humanities to begin in August 2027.
The Center seeks to fill several tenure-track and tenured faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor, to start in the 2026–2027 academic year. Applications are welcome from all relevant disciplines, including History, Literature (English, American, World), Politics (particularly the history of political thought), Political Economy, Classics, Religion and Philosophy.
QualificationsA Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree.
Application InstructionsA complete application must include:
- a cover letter, which addresses research agenda; teaching interests and competencies; and commitment to interdisciplinary undergraduate instruction;
- a sample of scholarly writing within the last three years; and
- a list of three academic references with contact information.
