PurposeThe DiNitto Career Center at the School of Social Work, University of Texas at Austin, is looking to hire a Career Services Work-Study. This is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills in the dynamic field of social work, while playing an integral role in providing key career services support.
Responsibilities- Promote career services for the DiNitto Career Center and the School of Social Work through all avenues of communication such as, email blasts, social media content and workshop slide decks
- Update student and alumni opportunities on Instagram
- Design graphics and illustrations for promotional materials
- Create layout for student and alumni e-newsletter and plan content
- Collaborate with various departments in the School of Social Work and with other colleges and departments at the University of Texas at Austin
- Assist in the maintenance of the DCC daily operations
- Must have work-study award from financial aid
- Experience in working with various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, and Linked In)
- Proficient in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and Mailchimp)
- Knowledge of promotional design/visual communication in digital spaces
- Understanding of design principles
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience and access to Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Illustrator)
- Knowledge of copy-writing for social media
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively

- Enrolled student at School of Social Work at UT Austin
- $15.25 hourly/10 hours per week
- Availability is required between the hours of 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.
