About the role

We are hiring passionate educators to join our part-time teaching staff. We have openings for mentors specializing in Elementary, Middle School, and High School/SAT prep. Candidates may apply for one or multiple levels depending on their expertise.

Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree
  • Have taken SAT and scored +1500 or +750 on either Reading and Writing or Math
  • +1 year of tutoring experience
  • Performance-based bonus

Schedule(August 24 ~ December 31, 2026):
  • Friday 6 - 10 pm and/or
  • Saturday 4 - 6 pm
Subjects:
  • SAT Reading and Writing
  • SAT Math
Responsibilities
  • Teach specialized test-taking strategies for the SAT (time management, process of elimination, trap identification).
  • Simplify complex high school concepts (Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II) for student mastery.
  • Prepare brief, structured progress reports that assess each student's academic progress, learning habits, and areas for improvement for parent updates.
  • Mentor students on college readiness and study habits.
  • Answers student inquiries and resolves problems related to curriculum and course prerequisites, referring to catalogues, written course descriptions, and other appropriate sources.
  • Prepares appropriate documentation and reports on student progress.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
