The Department of Asian Studies seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/non-tenured positions to teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Positions are not availableevery semester and are contingent upon student enrollment and the availability of funding. Appointments are usually made on asemester-by-semester basis, though sometimes there is departmentalneed for an annual appointment. Positions are renewable annually,contingent upon budgetary funding and performance.

A Masters degree in a related field and prior teaching experience are required. A PhD and a record of teaching excellence are preferred.
