Job Details General Notes

Purpose

The position will support the operations of the UT Public Testing Center and the Campus Testing Center, which is a collaboration with Disability and Access (D&A), to provide accommodated course exams for students registered with D&A.

Responsibilities
  • The responsibilities of the position will include front desk/intake tasks to support the Testing Specialist, including all check-in procedures,  exam verification.
  • As well as ensuring a professional exam administration experience. Responsibilities will also include exam proctoring duties.
Required Qualifications

High school grad or GED. Three years of administrative experience. Clear communicator with demonstrated interpersonal skills, with some familiarity with university operations. Excellent customer relations skills and experience with working in a university or office setting in a forward-facing manner. The candidate should have a reliable and consistent attendance record on the job.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. More than 1 year working in a University or office setting handling student records and proctoring.

Hourly Rate

$20.00

Working Conditions
  • Attire:

Work Shift
  • Hours per week - 30
  • Work schedule is 4 days per week TBD. Arriving at 9 a.m. departing at 5 p.m. with a half-hour lunch break (7.5 hours per day) for a total of 30 hours per week. During final exams, the must be available to work the following days:
    Thursday, December 10 Friday, December 11 Saturday, December 12 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) Monday, December 14

Employment Eligibility

Regular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, to include both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers. Staff who are promotion/transfer eligible may apply for positions without supervisor approval.

Retirement Plan Eligibility

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
