The Lead, Leadership & Instructional Systems is responsible for the upfront and ongoing instructional & leadership systems training and development of aligned district support content and tools for the new grant program supporting the planning, adoption and implementation of High-Quality Instruction Materials (HQIM) in 400+ districts annually across Texas. This role will also collaborate with teams outside of the Leadership and Instructional Foundations of Texas division to support the integration of performance management, and observation and feedback aligned practices across the agency.

Additional responsibilities include observation of and feedback on upfront vendor Train the Trainer delivery to achieve and maintain certification for Education Service Center and external vendor approved providers supporting the grant. This position will also conduct field visits to provide feedback to coaching and development team on the strength of district implementation and Approved Provider support.

This role is a part of a dynamic and fast-moving team where collaboration and cross-office internal support are often needed. The Lead, Leadership & Instructional Systems is also responsible for the management of special projects, collaboration across the team's multiple work streams as needed, and ensuring alignment and collaboration within the HQIM Implementation Team and cross-agency. This collaboration will include meeting with and discussing program content and alignment across the HQIM Implementation Team, and the following other teams within the agency:
Open Education Resources, School Improvement, and District Strategic Leadership.

This position requires up to 10% travel, based on business needs, to support program initiatives, collaboration, and operational priorities.

prepare and facilitate monthly training sessions for groups of external approved providers ranging in size from 30 to 300; collaborate with internal and vendor team members to prepare and manage the training sessions; analyze, reflect, propose changes and make improvements to future training sessions
