* Job Description:

** Responsible for assisting the Survey Party Chief in managing the activities of survey throughout various job locations.
* Fundamental knowledge of survey instruments or activities required.
*** Essential functions and responsibilities:
** Complete tasks utilizing survey instruments and equipment per the direction of the Survey Party Chief Perform a variety of routine non-machine tasks such as removing forms, filling excavations, placing pipe sections in trench, and assembling sections of pipe Perform a variety of machine tasks such as tapping soil, jack hammering, and assisting in the fusing of pipe Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill Other unlisted duties will be assigned When not performing the above essential duties and responsibilities, may assist in other operations as designated by the supervisor
** Requirements:
** At least one years' experience as a Survey Helper in heavy highway and bridge projects

Previous experience with survey instruments

Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications  knowledge/skill.

** High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.

* Experience:

** three or more years related construction experience preferred.  
** Manual Dexterity:
** Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers. Ability to perceive attributes of objects and materials. PHYSICAL:
